McDonald's Menu Prices at 6508 University Parkway ★3 (287)

I saw this McDonald's today on my way to get a medical test completed and thought we should give it a try. The building looks new and is very nice. The restaurant is very easy to get in and out of and is in a great location in LWR. My wife and I used our McDonald's apps to order our food and decided to dine inside, instead of in the car like we usually do. I ordered a Big Mac and a Large Coke and she ordered a McDouble, nuggets, fries and a Coke. There was no one working the front end of the store and there was only four or five people eating in the restaurant and no one was waiting in line. Our food came out quickly and my wife grabbed her food and headed for a table. As we were looking for a table we skipped over several spots because they had not recently been clean and had straw wrappers and other things on the tables and chairs. We found a place to sit and I headed over to get some ketchup for her fries. The area where the ketchup and napkins are was a mess and there were little paper cups with ketchup in them on the counter and the ketchup dispenser was EMPTY. I had big expectations with a brand new looking McDonald's in an area like LWR, and they were definitely not met. My Big Mac was warm at best and was far from what I was hoping for. My wife's fries were just warm, not hot, and the burger and nuggets were just acceptable. My Coke was 100% spot on and was icy cold and well, you know McDonald's has the best Coke. I added a McChicken on to my order and the bun was soft and warm and the chicken was nice and hot. They put a nice amount of fresh shredded lettuce on the chicken and it was very good and was actually better than the Big Mac I originally ordered through the McDonald's app. This may be the longest review I've ever left for any restaurant and I'm sure very few will actually read it all. I left this McDonald's thinking if I owned this McDonald's I would want to know that the restaurant is not being cleaned properly or maybe just not often enough in the lobby area. The seating area has padded seats at many of the tables and the lack of padding left me wanting to leave because of the discomfort from sitting just a short period of time while eating my meal. Maybe this is the new norm at McDonald's and most people have accepted it. There is a real disconnect with the service aspect with the design of this McDonald's and maybe it's something I will eventually get used to. I also thought it was very odd that the yellow safety cones were placed throughout the lobby as the floor was 100% dry and in the time we were there I saw no signs of anyone mopping or performing cleaning of any kind. I usually go to the McDonald's on Lockwood Ridge just north of University and maybe I will give this location another try in the future. -Signed, not exactly loving it.

Stole my money. Ordered from the app and they didn’t give me my full order at pickup. I called to let them know and the manager got an attitude with me saying I should have checked to make sure I had everything. Unbelievable. I asked for a refund for what I didn’t get and manager declined. Called corporate and they gave me my money back in more. Horrible management who doesn’t care about customers. All they had to do is say sorry and give me what i ordered but no they’d rather steal money.

Recently checked out this new McDonald's as there isn't much in the way of late night food in Lakewood Ranch. The restaurant was clean (it's brand new), and comfortable inside with a modern design. You order and pay at self-serve kiosks, love it or hate it. The food is then brought to you at your table. I haven't been to a McDonald's in years but this is new to me. The food is standard McDonald's items/quality, make of that what you will. The staff was friendly and helpful when I had a question about the ordering kiosk. Very fast service as well.

Worst customer service ever at any fast food!! Employees focused on drive thru only. Said they were understaffed and I had to wait. No manager in sight. Left after several minutes. Won’t be returning. Too bad, I expected more at this location.

I waited 46 minutes for a happy meal and a quarter pounder meal after ordering at the store kiosk. Everyone was waiting for this long. People were pulling out of the drive thru lane because they were waiting soo long. Absolutely terrible.
