McDonald's Menu Prices at 1000 Speedway Ave ★3.2 (1011)

Atmosphere – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) This is a modern McDonald’s with a clean, updated design. The dining room is a decent size with plenty of seating options, and the refreshment area was tidy. The restroom was also clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, the atmosphere is inviting and well-kept. Service – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) It took a few minutes before anyone came to the counter, likely because most customers use the kiosks. I prefer to order in person so I can see how the staff handles requests. When I ordered my usual bacon, egg, and cheese McMuffin (with a folded egg instead of the round egg), the cashier initially told me it couldn’t be done. I offered to pay extra, but he still seemed unsure how to enter it in the register. Rather than asking for help, there was some back-and-forth before he figured it out. There was also a minor issue with my code for a free iced caramel coffee, which took some tinkering before it worked. Once the order was placed, the food came out fairly quickly. Food – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The sandwich was okay, but the English muffin was slightly burnt and the bacon wasn’t as crispy as I like. It was edible, but not great. The iced caramel coffee, however, was tasty and made just right. Overall: This location has potential to be better. Staff should be better trained on handling simple custom requests—especially when it’s just substituting one ingredient for another. Even if there’s an upcharge, customers shouldn’t be told something “can’t be done” when it’s a basic sandwich modification. With more attentive service and consistent food prep, this could easily be a four-star McDonald’s.

Ordered An Americano with an espresso shot was really looking forward to that instead I got milky water. Even with four creams for them to add… wouldn’t look like this. Should’ve known better to order an Americano because most McDonald’s either can’t make it or don’t take the time to do it correctly.

The slowest service I’ve been to, the front is not prioritized the window is their main goal. Been waiting for 20 mins for a meal and had to ask for my cup after waiting so damn long.

I typically don’t frequent McDonalds because they are unhealthy, but I recently had 2 bad experiences just a couple days apart. On February 6th around 8:30 pm I just wanted to order a medium Coke. I get in line and there’s one person ahead of me in both lanes. People had also started to line up behind me about 5-6 vehicles each lane and the person in front of me finally got frustrated and left so it was my turn and I pulled up and complete silence. I gave about 5 minutes of silence and said “Hello? Am I able to order?” Again just met with complete silence. The person in the opposite lane was also asking if they were closed and they left without ordering as well. At this point I’d been in line a good 10-15 minutes without anyone ever saying “we’ll be with you in a moment” or to update customers as to why no one was taking orders or if there was an issue. At this point I called the store to see if they were closed and got no answer, but when I hung up someone finally took my order. I’ve worked in customer service and in my experience it makes a customer less angry if you just openly communicate with them and tell them there’s an issue etc. My second experience happened February 9th, I wanted to get a quick breakfast because I was traveling out of town so I went to this same McDonald’s because it’s close to where I live. I know breakfast ends at 10:30 for them and I got into line at 10:06. There was only one person ahead of me who AGAIN sat in this lane forever because no one spoke to them or took their order, however, someone was taking orders but ONLY from the left lane. I sat in line without my lane moving until 10:37 while 7 people who arrived way after me in the left lane got to order. The man in front of me gave up and I pulled up, someone asks what I want and I very politely said “Would I still be able to get breakfast? I know it’s past the time, but I sat in line for 30 minutes?” and then she said in a very snarky tone “no, you can get breakfast tomorrow though” and I said “someone kept only taking orders from the left lane but okay?” The employee was very rude and said “not my problem” which is crazyyyyy, so needless to say I’ll stick with Wendy’s or any other chain before resorting to this specific McDonald’s.

They take forever to take your order in drive through. If you see 5 cars in drive through. You can bet, every time your gonna be there for 30 plus minutes every time. Even-if your orders small. They wait 5 minutes to take a new person order.
