McDonald's Menu Prices at 8929 Clairemont Mesa Blvd ★3.5 (1379)

I give this McDonald’s about 3/5 stars, mainly due to the quality of the food and drink I received. I ordered two McDoubles and a large diet Dr. Pepper. The soda was kind of flat, a bit syrup-heavy, and was a little too light on the ice. The burgers were lukewarm. Overall, not a really great experience. The staff were great, though. They were friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is pretty much standard for other McDonald’s restaurants. It might’ve been an off night, but I wasn’t super impressed with what I received.

Everyone knows the Macdonald's, but I didn't know that American Big Mac is better than Japanese one. (Big Mac $7.53)

Both of our burgers were gross and hard, and there was no sauce on the Big Mac. Ordered a quarter pounder without the bun plus extra lettuce and mayo, which I paid more for... it came without mayo, lettuce, pickle, and onions. Literally a plain burger with cheese. Combined with the mediocre patty, I threw half of it away. On the plus side, the fries were hot and fresh!

Tried the new crispy chicken sandwich, their entry into the current chicken sandwich war. It doesn't even come close to the current top three chicken sandwiches of (1) Chick-fil-A, (2) Popeye's, and (3) KFC. The taste was ok, but the size was less than half the thickness of the competition. It was more in line with Jack-in-the-box's failed chicken sandwich entry. Update: Got the Filet-O-Fish sandwich. It was very good with tender flaky Alaskan Pollock sealed in a crisp thin batter. Update: Got the Filet-O-Fish sandwich with added pickles. Consistently very good. Update: Got the 10 Chicken McNuggets for $3.01 special, with honey mustard dipping sauce. Not bad. Update: Got the Big Mac and Fries special. Both were good. Update: Got the free double cheeseburger deal with hamburger purchase. They were both ok. Update: Got the Hot n' Spicy McChicken sandwich. It was basically a large processed chicken McNugget. It was ok. Update: Got 2 double cheeseburgers. They were good. Update: Tried the new cheeseburger. It was the same as before, so I guess the advertised changes haven't happened at this location yet. Update: Got 2 double cheeseburgers. They were good. Got a double bacon quarter pounder. The bacon was scarce and soggy, and the burgers seemed more greasy than usual. I would not order it again.

Ordered from the kiosk with option to pay at counter. Waited twelve minutes while the woman working spent most of the time in the back. Another two minutes before the manager canme out to take my pay and wait on the other two people in line. When I brought the situation up to the manager, he was dismissive and argumentative. Refused to take responsibility for he and his staff leaving the front unattended for so long. When I said I would let Corporate know of his attitude, he merely said "Whatever. Do what you gotta do " Terrible customer service all around. Lastly, the small order I had was not completely correct. Not recommended at all.
